Playing baseball at the collegiate level has been my goal since I was 12 years old and I am confident that my work ethic will get me there. I feel that my determination to succeed and my lack of “fear of failure” have prepared me greatly for this. Baseball is such a mental sport and I am grateful for the many mentors that have helped me throughout the years. They have always emphasized the importance of mental toughness. My short term goal for this offseason is to continue to work on the physical part of my game by getting stronger and quicker. I am on a weight training and arm strengthening program. My greatest strength in baseball is my consistency; I work hard to make all of the routine plays and to be a tough out at the plate.
In the classroom I stay focused on the task and I enjoy interacting with other students and my teachers. I am a student who isn’t afraid to ask questions, as I continually want to know answers. Academically, my goal is to study in areas centered on sports medicine and physical therapy. This will give me an opportunity to do something I love and help people at the same time.
I like to hang out with family and friends and really enjoy traveling. One of my hobbies is to read science fiction novels and I also like learning about history and different cultures.
I am excited to find a school with a friendly atmosphere where I can find stability on and off the field. I am also looking for an environment in which I can be helped by others and make an impact as soon as possible.
