Personal Statement
My name is William (Bill) Blank. I am 6'0" tall and 190 lbs. The strongest part of my body is my legs which really help me when I am catching to stay in my stance for a decent amount of time. I am very good at using my hands which helps me build things off the field and on the field it makes my transfer faster.
For my travel team this 2016 summer I led the team in RBI's, walks, and On Base Percentage. I am and always have been a power hitter for my team and shows in the stats of RBI's and doubles. Also, I can work the count really well which leads to lots of walks. Catcher is my best position out of all the positions ,but I can play corner infield really well and understand the positions that I play and don't play.
School is very important to me as well as baseball. I make sure to get all my work done that I have to before I do anything else in my day. I have succeed in honors math over the years and in the following Sophomore year I did great in the class Algebra II w/ Trig. ending the class with a A+. My hard working skills in school show in baseball since I am not a fan of quitting at things I started. If I do start building or working on something I like to try to finish what I am doing before moving on to something else. I have two fields of study's in mind right now- mechanical engineering or education/teaching.
Work is another thing I do when I am not playing baseball or in school. I work for my dad and my stepdad. For my dad I help landscape for his business and usually work from 8 to 5. For my stepdad I clean a baseball facility that the travel program runs.
I want to thank you for taking your time to read my personal statement and want to wish you good luck in the up coming season.
