Personal Statement

One of my favorite highlights from my high school career was when I hit the 140ft mark as a freshman. I started freshman year throwing 80ft and when summer rolled around, and after many hours of extra practice as well as being in the gym, I threw 140ft in an important meet. The work ethic I gained over my high school experience has also correlated to the classroom and my grades have improved substantially. Being on the team has helped me grow as a person, a student, and a leader. I help the younger throwers who are coming into the program get up to a level of confidence in themselves like my upperclassmen did for me when I first started. I think being on a good team with good team chemistry is an important part of an athlete's performance and I’m fortunate enough to have both as I’ve grown throughout high school.

I'm currently a Junior year with a 3.72 GPA and a goal of mine is to get it up to a 4.0+ by the end of this year. I’m looking to go to college for kinesiology, exercise science, or in business administration. I also want to build an athletic career beyond high school. I’m looking for a program that would be a great fit for me athletically but also academically. Not only do I have the ability to compete well at a collegiate level but I also have the work ethic, consistency, discipline, character, and leadership qualities that will have a great impact on your program. As a two-sport athlete, in basketball and track, I am always being recognized for my leadership abilities both inside and out of the classroom; so I know that I have what it takes to be a leader & compete in and beyond your program.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
