Personal Statement

For the Love Of Baseball

I can not describe the rush of joy I get from playing baseball, and especially when I win at baseball. I believe my addiction to winning started in Sacramento, California when I started playing baseball at the age three. I developed a love for the game, that few can relate to. My desire to play the game in the past few years has grown immensely. My goal, is to one day, play Major League Baseball. I have worked all my life to attain this goal. My attributes as a player are: being a hard worker, doing whatever it takes to win, and never quitting.

From an early age I was taught that “talent is worthless without hard work.” I have applied this philosophy to my life, both on and off the field. I’ll do whatever it takes to achieve my goals. Like my drive to make it into the MLB, I will do whatever it takes to win. Winning is my main goal when I play baseball, I will let nothing stand between my team and winning. Since winning is so important to me, I will never give up until me and my team are champions.

My academic experiences have been very vast. I have studied Latin, cartography, comparison essays, economic, deductive logic, prepositional logic, mock trail and participated on the debate team. In conclusion I plan on playing in the MLB, and with the help of your (college’s) tool’s, be come the greatest athlete of all time.
