Alberto Vega '24 Recruiting Profile

I was born in a small Spanish speaking country named Dominican Republic, where you don't get the best resources and education, but one thing that highlights about the Dominican Republic is their development with baseball. 

I have been playing baseball since I was 10 years old. Since I first stepped on the field, I have aspired to play at the collegiate level. I know playing in college is a once in a lifetime opportunity that could change my whole life. 

I work hard year around on my baseball skills, and working out to get my body ready. I´m a strong power hitter with a lot of contact, speed on the base path and a great defensive glove in the infield. 

Over the years I play High School baseball during spring, when summer and fall comes I play for a travel team, I also participate in tournaments organized by Perfect Game. I´m also a multi Sport athlete, I play basketball for my highschool team.

In the classroom, I maintain a good GPA. I'm enrolled in a couple of honors and AP classes , like Honors Algebra, AP Spanish and AP history. 

I´m a 2 language speaker where I can speak Spanish and English perfectly. I want to attend a college where I can push myself into Business and on the baseball field. I hope to become a great role model to all my family that worked too hard and made a sacrifice to bring me to have a better life here in UNited States and I want to make them proud.
