Playing baseball is my passion. Each day, I strive to work harder and get better as a player and teammate. From working with my hitting coach to hitting the gym, baseball is never far from my mind. I have played baseball since childhood, starting on town rec teams, little league, and then travel. I enjoy competition and working with coaches who guide me to be smarter about the game and more skilled on the field. This year I was one of only two sophomores on my high school's Varsity team. Traveling to Florida for Spring training and being a part of a team working and training at a high level reinforced my goal of playing college baseball. The opportunity to continue to play is just as important to me as getting a good education. I work hard as a student and have taken high school coursework beginning in middle school. I have always challenged myself as a student and an athlete. I hope to find a program that will provide me the chance to grow educationally, athletically, and personally.

- 2023 NEW YORK INDOOR SHOWCASE (SUNDAY) Brayden Casas is a 2025 SS/3B with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from New Rochelle, NY who attends New Rochelle. Casas impressed both during his BP round and in game during the course of his day, starting from an even balanced base with a hanging leg lift trigger that produced solid impact to all parts of the field. He flashed evident barrel control through the zone with intent to create lift in the bat path. He effectively used the opposite field in game and looked comfortable in the box overall. Defensively, Casas worked exclusively from his primary IF spot, displaying a clean funnel with sound glove work and developing arm actions. Topped out at 77 mph across the diamond. Good student.

- Brayden Casas is a 2025 MIF/3B with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from New Rochelle, NY who attends New Rochelle. Medium frame with well-proportioned strength present and some projection remaining. Primary shortstop, stayed very light on the feet as he worked through the baseball. Intriguing footspeed with some twitch to his actions. Shows the pocket early, funneling the ball smoothly with softness in the hands. Present quickness in the arm with the ability to adjust slots. Left-handed hitter, starts in an even stance with high and tight hands. Utilizes a short leg lift trigger for timing before working into a level bat path. Takes a direct route to the baseball and turns quickly to the point of contact. Ran a 3.88 thirty-yard dash. Great student.
