Breydan Cavey '19 Recruiting Profile

I am a type of person who likes to set my goals high and work hard to achieve them. I am a leader who strives to be the best player/person I can be while making others around me better at the same time. I am looking to continue my education and playing career at the next level and surround myself with like minded people.

I currently play for IVL Baseball coached by Joe Inglett, former MLB player. I have previously played club baseball for Ohio Elite and was coached by Chris Kaczmar, Walsh Jesuit Baseball Coach. 

Academically I currently have a 4.16 GPA and take two Honors Classes. I am also currently enrolled in college classes.

I regularly volunteer at Feeding Medina County where we pack bags of food for needy families. I also work with the Medina County Police League each year as a referee for their basketball games. I am a NFHS certified basketball official where I officiate high school and middle school games each winter. When I am not playing baseball in the summer I also umpire for the local travel and recreation teams.

I can only control few things in this great sport, my work ethic, my mindset and attitude. I am always looking to find the positives, stay in the moment and remain confident. With the right mindset I can achieve any of my goals. In order to get there I will continuously work harder than other people.
