I started playing baseball when I was 5. I had played a lot of sports before that trying to find one that I really liked and would stick with. I had tried sports like soccer and tennis but never found them very appealing. I tried baseball at my local ballpark one year for youth fall ball and instantly loved it. I was still playing tennis at the time but about two months after starting baseball I quit tennis because I loved baseball more. I have played baseball since then almost year round wether with my teams or lessons. Through baseball I have learned many things about myself some of which being my competitiveness and will not to quit. My academic goals for the remainder of high school is to maintain over a 3.5 gpa and increase my ACT score from 28 to at least a 30. During my sophomore year in high school I broke my arm during a game. While I was injured I was unable to play but still went to every practice and game. I wished I was playing but staying with the coaches during practices and hearing what they had to say after every play gave me a unique perspective on the game. After I was cleared from my injury I had to work hard between throwing and working out to get my arm where it needed to be. I have tried to keep that work ethic despite not being injured anymore. It improved my work ethic which I still carry today. I would like to continue my baseball career at the highest level I can.
