Personal Statement
While baseball is my passion, academics come first to me. My goal in life is to get a good education and then go into a rewarding career. In college I plan to study either athletic training or sports management and marketing. When I’m not studying, I’m improving my baseball skills. This could be in a bullpen session creating muscle memory in my pitching mechanics or behind a tee developing positive mechanics in my hitting. During practice and games I work hard to be a positive influence on my teammates, while having some fun. Along with baseball, I have just started my third season on my high school varsity swim team which I consider to be excellent cross training.
In my freshman year of high school I hit a growth spurt in which I grew over 6 inches and added about 30 pounds. I have been working hard with a strength coach to get my lower and upper body stronger. I am a hard worker and would love the opportunity to learn from and contribute to a college program.
