Personal Statement
Becoming a nurse practitioner is one of my biggest goals and aspirations due to the fact that my mom inspired me. She is a registered nurse/director of nursing and I would love to be able to help others. Making the varsity team as a freshman starter and going to playoffs was one of the highlights in my high school career. However, I feel I grew the most as a student-athlete my senior year when I was announced a captain, received 1st Team All-State award, and made the All-Star team for the third time in a row. During this season I was able to motivate my team, give tips, and grow as a team. That experience helped me grow as a person and become very open-minded and positive. I was able to ask my coach for criticism to find out what I can do to improve and continuously reset my goals higher as I achieve them. During my four years on varsity I learned the value of teamwork, dedication, motivation, leadership, and perseverance. I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. I specialize in aerial passes, sweeps, jabbing and constant hustling up and down the field. I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program.
