Personal Statement
I have been interested in playing field hockey since I first stepped on the field my Freshman year and immediately fell in love with the game. I began my freshman year with receiving the Cavalier Award, an award that is given out annually to one player on each team, it recognizes leadership on and off the field. I have continued playing since then and also helped coach younger kids in the sport.
Though I knew I wanted to continue playing as long as possible, I did not realize my true potential until my Junior year of high school during our Fall varsity season. It was then that I saw the possibilities of being recruited to play Field Hockey in college, while earning my college degree. I would love to have the opportunity to continue playing at the college level for the next four years. I would love to continue playing hockey even beyond college, if possible, and the National team and/or Olympics would truly be a dream come true. I look forward to connecting with colleges that are a good match both academically and athletically.
