Personal Statement

Dear Coaches,

I am Aidan Platt, and I am interested in joining your college football team. My college goals are to study psychology or engineering and help your prestigious football program succeed.

Academically, I want to learn beyond football. My academic aspirations reflect my love of learning and intellectual progress, whether they're in psychology or engineering. I understand that academic achievement is crucial to my development, and I will approach my studies with the same passion as the game.

On the field, I combine agility, strategic thinking, and an unrelenting work ethic. On the football field, my versatility and adaptability show my dedication to growth. I want to help the team win tactically, not just personally. My understanding of collaboration, discipline, and leadership makes me a player who can perform and improve others.

My identity is based on my character. My sportsmanship, ethics, and positivity make me a team player, not just an athlete. I stay strong and focused in difficult situations, inspiring the team to persevere. My community service shows my belief in giving back and improving others' lives. I stand out from other prospects with my ability and holistic approach. I care about my own achievement, the team's, and the community's. I want to make a difference on and off the field academically and athletically.

I am delighted to join your program and believe my academic proficiency, athletic ability, and character make me a good fit. I appreciate your consideration of my application and look forward to discussing how I might help your football team succeed.

Sincerely,

Aidan Platt

Training

  • Training ~ Early Years of Development
  • 10 years
  • I embarked on my football journey at the age of 6 in the youth league. In my early years, I absorbed the fundamental principles of the game, mastering basic stances, hole positions, snap counts, and executing "pulling" maneuvers as a Left Side Offensive Guard. Progressing into roles as both a Defensive and Offensive Tackle, I honed my ability to decipher the nuanced movements of opposing players, anticipating the potential trajectory of the ball. Naturally, this involved not only grasping offensive strategies but also adapting defensively to emerging situations. Beyond mastering the intricacies of gameplay, I diligently participated in foundational football strength, conditioning, and training drills. These exercises formed the bedrock of my physical preparation, instilling discipline and resilience. From the early stages of my youth league experience, I recognized the importance of a holistic approach to football, encompassing both technical skills and physical prowess. As I evolved from a Left Side Offensive Guard to a versatile Defensive and Offensive Tackle, the comprehensive nature of my training equipped me to navigate the multifaceted demands of the sport.
