Personal Statement

Hello my name is Andrew Heffler. I am 6'1 220 lbs, currently 17 years old and starting my Senior year at St. Augustine High School. I have been playing football since I was in the fourth grade. In 8th grade my youth football team, the Steele Canyon Cougars, went undefeated in the entire San Diego County and we traveled to Orlando, Florida to play in the AYF National Championships. We were able to build on our past success and were able to capture the title and were crowned National Champions becoming the best youth football team in America. I have an undying love and passion for the game of football. I have a work ethic unlike anyone you have ever seen. I am the most dedicated and self motivated person that you are ever going to meet. I have always been a vocal leader towards my teammates whether it is on the field, in the weight room, or even in the classroom. People say that I am a kind hearted, intelligent, humble, Christian gentleman off the field. However, when I step foot onto the football field, I generate a high motor and leave it all out on the field. I transform into this unthinkable, undeniable animal that wants to strike fear into the hearts of the opponents and plays every rep as if it was his last. I am to be better known and  nicknamed "The Vanilla Gorilla." I have also been able to translate my talents off the field and in the classroom as well. I actively participate in my classes whether it is volunteering or even tutoring. I have been able to obtain a 3.8 GPA. I always try to distinguish myself from everyone else whether it is getting extra work in after practice, doing an extra set in the weight room, studying days before exams or tests, or even just having good body language and demeanor. My dream is to  play at the next level in NCAA College Football. "I can do all things through Him who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13). This bible verse represents how I carry myself in life and how I refuse to lose. Thank you for taking the time to view and review my profile.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
