Personal Statement
My goal is to attend a strong academic school of learning where values are important in an environment where I can benefit from growth experiences and play football.
For football, I expect to contribute immediately, get better over time, and be a solid member of the team through graduation. Playing football is a life-long passion that has shaped who I am. For me sports (I have also excelled in soccer, LAX, basketball and baseball) provides life lessons as well as the absolute joy of participating and winning. As perspective, my father played and coached football at the college level.
Currently, I am the starting fullback and middle linebacker at Wilton High School as a junior. As a freshman at Wilton, I received the award for outstanding leadership (the only award given at the freshman level). Over the years, I’ve attended Football University (FBU) where, based on evaluation, I have been selected to attend their Top Gun camp on separate occasions as a running back, linebacker, and wide receiver; as well as receiving the 2015 Leadership Award for the Boston camp. I have also been chosen to be a captain for my team in the 2016 season.
In a highly ranked, competitive high school, I currently have a “rising” 2.74 GPA, making honors the last two periods after diagnosis of a manageable learning disability. I tested well on the PSATs and expect to do even better on future SAT/ACT testing. From a community standpoint, I am active in leadership positions in my church, am close to achieving Eagle in scouts, and have been active in an admired organization serving people with handicaps.
I expect to learn, grow, lead and win wherever I am fortunate enough to have the opportunity to play football.
