Personal Statement
My name is Garrett Borth and I am a 6'3 240 pound defensive end/ tight end Junior out of Baldwin High School in Baldwin City, Kansas with a GPA of 3.9/4.0. All three years of my high school career I have started varsity on both sides of the ball. Some of my accomplishments during this time include being selected for Football University's Top Gun camp three years running and the USA's National Football team the past two years. This year's coaches moved me up to play with the seniors over the juniors as that is where they felt I would be most competitive. Not only was I starting D-End over three other players (all a year older than I), I was also chosen to be a captain. Comparatively, I also earned an All league Mention as a high school sophomore & junior. I have been selected for and started with the Offense Defense All-American bowl as well as the Diamond Sports All-American bowl.
Although I am a three-sport varsity athlete (I also wrestle and play baseball), football has always been my love and passion. Last year I was a state qualifier for wrestling in the 285 weight class while only weighing 225 and have been starting Varsity catcher for past two years . My dedication to not only the sport of football but also to my team has led me and my family across the country every summer for various camps and invitation-only showcases. As long as the university meets my academic needs, I am open to any and all options, at any level of competition. I am looking for a university where I can make an immediate positive impact on the team.
If I could play football year round I would. I love football and want to do nothing but to keep learning & get better at the game.
Football for Life!!!
