Personal Statement
I have been playing volleyball, since I was eight years old. Since I first stepped on the court, I have aspired to play at the collegiate level. I know that playing in college is a once in a lifetime opportunity that will help mold me into the person I want to be, in life. My parents instilled in me, to give 110%, whether it be in volleyball, softball, or academics. I enjoy being a scholar athlete, while maintaining a 4.0 GPA. I also volunteer at local youth volleyball camps and I am currently a member of our student government. I love being around people and making new friends. You will rarely see me without a smile on my face and a teamwork attitude.
On the court, I have quick movement and a strong consistent serve. I am a team leader and I lead by example, while also encouraging my teammates. I am very coachable and strive to be one of the elite players, with a strong work ethic. I was one of 8 players who recently received the “Best Server” award, at the Kansas University Volleyball Camp (2018). There were 230+ participants at the K.U. Camp, some of which already have scholarship offers. I would like to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the court. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to become a great role model, to all my peers, and make my parents proud.
