Personal Statement
I eat, sleep, and breathe football. I have been involved in organized sports, football, baseball, and basketball, as long as I can remember. Football became my passion. I love the preparation required to play the game at a high level with great intensity. What I lack in talent, I make up with hard work, preparation, and 110% effort at all times. I cannot be out worked. My high school football experience has been awesome as a student athlete. I worked my way into the starting line-up among a very talented group of team mates. In three years, our team has been undefeated district champs for three consecutive years, Louisiana State Runner-Up, and the ultimate prize, State Champions. The hard work has paid off.
In addition to the success on the field, I have put in just as much work to be successful as a student athlete. My current GPA of 3.3 is a direct result of my hard work in a tough curriculum at University Lab School. I am also a member of the National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS). My desire is to attend a college that will allow me to pursue my dreams of being a contributor to my teammates on the field, to continue to grow as a student athlete, and to excel in the classroom so that I can be successful in the next phase of my life.
My options are open as I pursue the best fit to continue my goal of being a student athlete. Football is a privilege that I take very seriously. Regardless of what path is chosen, I will continue to conduct myself with honor and respect on and off the field. The way in which I conduct myself is a direct reflection of my family, my school, and my team.
