Personal Statement
I have made the decision to transfer to Choate Rosemary Hall, repeat my junior year, and become a class of 2017 student. The additional year will better prepare me both academically and athletically to achieve my goal of acceptance into a quality college, and playing college football at a high skill level.
As a student, I am dedicated to my studies and have worked hard to accumulate a 3.83/4.0 GPA. I have enjoyed membership in the Jr. National Honor Society, the National Honor Society, and the Spanish National Honor Society. I am taking the AP courses available to me and am looking forward to taking more AP and Honors courses in my last two years of high school at Choate. I understand and value the importance of higher education and will consider it a privilege to attend the college I choose.
As a person, I believe it is important to be thankful for what you have, and to give back to others. Last summer I participated in a three week school trip to Peru that focused on a community service project rebuilding a village reservoir. Character, integrity, and dedication are not just words to me, they are how I strive to live my life every day.
As an athlete, I have committed to football and to developing the specific skills to play offensive line at the college level. I am dedicated, and training hard, to develop my strength, quickness, speed, and technique. I greatly enjoyed my time at Pioneer Valley and learned a lot in my two years starting at left tackle, and defensive end. I was honored to be named to the "All-Conference" and "All-Western Mass" teams last year. At Choate I hope to continue to develop my skills in my next two years playing for the Wild Boars.
Finally, I would like to say that I am committed to giving the very best I have in the classroom, and on the playing field, to the college I choose. I am very excited, and look forward, to selecting a great college, receiving a great education, and continuing my football carrier.
