Personal Statement
My name is Caleb Patton and I go to Piqua High School. I was born in the small town of Piqua, OH, but this doesn't mean I don't have goals or dreams. I am willing to do whatever it takes to get to the next level, whether it be using by academic abilities, sports, or both. I plan to attend a major University to study Biomedical Engineering. I play football and basketball and I work hard at both. When it comes down to getting to college though, I want to attend a university that I believe I will benefit from and that will benefit from having me. I'm just trying to be the most successful I can be. I love football and basketball so I would be willing to do anything to keep playing after high school.
I will work harder than anyone else to get where I need to be. I will keep my grades up and enhance my skills at all times to be able to make it and be successful. I will work outside of practice and study outside of school to secure my spot and insure that I am successful. I am not like the others because nobody loves school and sports as much as I do. There isn't anybody that will work as hard as me. I have had straight A's for my whole life. I am currently in Link Crew, Piqua Teen Leaders and Student Council as well as working part-time and taking both advanced placement and college courses. I will do whatever it takes and that's all I really need to express. I won't let my coaches and professors down. My favorite quote is from John F. Kennedy. He said: "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure, It is our light, not our darkness, that we fear most." I stand by this quote all the way and I will show everyone how "powerful" I will be.
