Personal Statement
I love to play football. The "Friday night experience" is like nothing I have ever experienced. I truly want to take that experience and continue to enjoy it at the college level on Saturday afternoons. I am currently a Senior at Wilsonville High School in Wilsonville, Oregon. I have lettered in both football and track and field. Our team here in Wilsonville is a perennial playoff team and one of my goals is to do everything I can to keep that tradition going. I would love to go to a college, get an education that will put me in line with a successful career and play football at the same time.
I play running back and Slot receiver, but will play anywhere on the field in order to help my team win. The majority of my playing time I am used on offense in the back field or the slot. I have pretty high standards for myself and I will out work any player on the field in order to encourage my teammates to get better and to make sure my skills are always improving. I am constantly in the weight room and am lucky to have a great weight training coach that customizes my weight training plan for the sport that I am participating in. I am currently in the "800 pound club" for weight lifters and I plan on being well past 1000 pounds by the time I graduate.
As I watch my parents and get to work with my Dad in the summers; I have learned that if you love what you do and get to do it for a living then you will be happy. I have many interests for possible careers. Architecture has always been something that I would love to learn to do, but I am also interested in sports medicine, business and coaching. So, I am looking to gain a well-rounded college education that will take me down a path to success.
I have high standards for academics and also for playing football. I would like to become a part of a football program where I can contribute to the team by my Sophomore year and help the program be successful. I know I will out work any other player on the team and do whatever I am asked to make the team stronger. These next few years are going to be exciting as I prepare to study and play at the next level.
