I learned perseverance at an early age as my dad passed away at the beginning of my school career and my mom raised me and my older brother by herself. I got to start playing a game that I love deeply in the second grade and have played various positions both offensive and defense. Around my 8th grade year my coaches concentrated me on the O-Line where I started as Center and I got to play some but not as much defense. That year we went on to becoming the Champions of the Southeast Tennessee Athletic Conference. Covid hit right after this and with remote learning and yet another passing of someone dear to my family, my grandmother, I struggled to find my passion my freshman year as I played center on the Jr Varsity team. The Varsity team that year was the 2A runner ups at the state Championship and in fact, since my last year at Meigs Middle School we have at least made an appearance at the state championship each year. My passion is back and I've been putting in hard work both off and on the field. I am finishing my high school football journey as Right Guard. I just cannot let this be the last season of playing the game I love and I'm willing and able to put in the hard work that it will take in order for me to play at the college level. I have to admit I really enjoyed playing defensive tackle but willing to play where it is most beneficial to my team. My last season of high school football I strive to become better than I was the week before. Meigs County is a small town but full of heros and I'd like to continue learning and playing football after I graduate. I'm interested in a college in or near Tennessee and would like to help young athletes after college by encouraging and teaching them perseverance in the sport they love.
