Personal Statement
My goal is to be the best that I can be. I intend to play football in college and I am a good candidate because I won't give up and I go 100% during practice and during games. I have been successful in sports and I'm confident that my success will grow.
In football, I have excellent speed, good vision running the ball, and good hands. I'm also very strong and I'm hard to take down. I'm a wide receiver and corner back. I also have experience at tailback, safety, and kickoff and punt returner. I hope you will look at my game highlights here, where you will see that I've had a lot of long runs both at tailback and returning the ball. At corner back, I am also good at making open field tackles, knocking passes away from a receiver, and stripping the ball if it makes it to his hands.
In the summer of 2014 I competed in the 100m dash at the Junior Nationals in Greensboro, NC. I run that in 11.52. In track this year, 2016, I'm part of the 4x100 relay team, which is first in the state in our division. I'm also able to clear the high bar at 5'10".
I think I am different because I am willing to do what it takes to succeed. I have good character and great parents who guide and support me in anything I want to do. They have taught me to have respect for others and the value of saying "please" and "thank you."
Finally, I know the value of education and I fully intend to graduate from college so I can have a good job when I am no longer playing football.
I really appreciate your consideration.
