Personal Statement

I'm Aaron Fischer, I'm 5-11'' and I weigh 235 pounds. I am a Junior at Sun Prairie High School. My personal awards/honors have included:  Junior year:  1st team all conference as a fullback, team awards for Offensive Player of the Game and the "big hit of the game" award twice. I've also been named Team Captain for 2013.  Sophomore year: Offensive Player of the Game award.

I am a fun, outgoing, love-to-joke-around type of person. I am definitely a "people" person and I love to socialize and meet new people. Being a people person and having a love for sports, I would like to become an Athletic trainer or go into Sports management.

Even though I love to socialize and have fun, when the time comes to be serious, I handle myself with a lot of composure and bring a business-like attitude to the field.  In the off season between my sophomore and junior years, I gained a lot of strength, as well as bulking up 50 pounds and gaining speed. After school everyday I went to the weight room and lifted and conditioned. I also joined the track team in order to improve my running technique and to get faster.  I'm always trying to work hard, get better and be the best player I can possibly be.

I'd say my best quality I bring to the team is my leadership ability. I love to lead by example, and was recently named Team Captain for 2013. When I'm working hard, I'm hoping others follow my lead and do the same. And when there is a rough patch in the game, I bring the team together and get everyone on the same page and try to get them to give their all to win the game. I feel like being a leader comes naturally to me, and people on the team respect me because they see my passion for the game and how hard I work. This year, we were blessed and fortunate enough to make it to the state championship game. We unfortunately lost, but that just drives me to work that much harder and try to get back and win.

I have many goals that I have set for myself for the rest of high school. One off the field goal is with my education. In Freshman year, I was not used to studying and still getting A's, and as Freshman year went on, my grades were not up to par. I finished Freshman year with a 2.987, which is not acceptable. Since then, I have averaged a 3.7 GPA. My Goal is to get my cummulative GPA up to a 3.5 before my senior year. I know it is a hard task to raise it that much, but I plan on acheiving this goal.  Off the field, my personal goal is to be the best fullback in the State and to try and receive 1st team All-State. I want to be the best and strive to be the best so even though it is a big goal, I know I am capable and I know if I work hard enough, I will acheive.  One of my team goals is to win the conference outright again next year. The Big 8 is a very tough conference and we always have tough competition with Verona, Middelton, Madison West, and etc. And of course, the biggest goal I have for this next year football season is to win a state championship. We were able to make it to there last year, but we lost, so I want to go back next year and bring home the Gold ball. Winning is everything, and I have worked so hard for this upcoming season with my teammates, and we are definitely ready to go into battle and acheive these goals.

My dream one day is to be able to be a college football player and to play for a team that competes at a high level, has high expectations, and that wants and expects that they will win everytime they step on the field. I am open to all divisons and schools.
