Personal Statement


My name is Ben Thomas, 6'2" 175lbs guard, entering my senior year at El Dorado High School in Placerville, CA. My family has a rich history for college athletic sports. My father played fullback for the Cal Poly Mustangs on a full scholarship. He started all four years, awarded 1st Team All Coast Fullback and Honorable Mention All American. My brother Jake, 6'6" 245lbs offensive lineman and long snapper, currently is on football scholarship and plays for Quincy University in Quincy, Illinois where he is also pursuing his Aviation degree. My uncle was a starting baseball outfielder for California State University Sacramento.



I realize I have started the recruiting process late, but I would love to pursue playing at the college level. I am looking for an institution where I can fit right in, and find the right balance between the academics and athletics. I will continue to work hard to pursue playing college basketball and get an education.
