Personal Statement

Aloha, my name is Kainoa Souza Chaves,I am 6'0" 180 lbs. I am a 2012 High School graduate of Hanalani Schools in Mililani, Hawaii. During my senior season, I led my team to a 20-3 record, making the state tournament for only the second time in school history. I was selected 1st team in ILH Division 2 that year and averaged 18 ppg, 5 apg, 2 spg and finished 85% from the free throw line. My freshman year I attended Concordia University-Portland and played on the JV basketball team. I am currently a sophomore attending the University of Hawaii at Manoa after transferring back home. I am looking for an opportunity to get back on the court and to continue my journey towards earning my Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science/Kinesiology. I am open to D-1,D-2,D-3 or NAIA anywhere in the United States.
