Corey Harris Jr '25 Recruiting Profile

I am a true point guard. I do what it takes to win for my team. My strengths are I have high basketball IQ, elite ball-handling skills, quickness, court vision/ passing skills,  mid-range shooting, and am solid defensively. I can thrive in an open court slashing and thrashing and I can knock down shots in half court play. I do all of the things that stats won’t show that are sometimes overlooked- take charges, block out for teammates to rebound, dive for loose balls and speak life into my teammates. I work hard everyday on my game and I seek to improve everyday. All of these things, plus my coachability, sets me apart from other players. I am a great addition for any team because of all of these things.

I work hard on the court and in the classroom.  I am different from most student athletes because I attend one of America’s top ranked schools, which is also in the top 20% of schools in the state; my classes are demanding. I manage a lot everyday- school, practice and being a big brother. I am set apart too, because I do what is necessary to win and am a true team player. I am a member of Black Student Union at my school and am an active member of my church.  My character is very important to me and I want to be great everyday.  I was also the co-captain of my basketball teams this year- school and AAU. I also made All Conference Honorable Mention (2023 sophomore year) and All Tournament team (2024 junior year) for the tournament I played in this year. 

I desire to play basketball at the college level, to achieve academic success, and to continue to develop as a young man.  Going to college and getting an education has been instilled in me. My goal is to be the first male college graduate in my family. I am unsure what I want to major in yet, but I do know I want to be successful and earn a degree.
