Tanner Whiteman '12 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'5" shooting guard from Cazenovia, NY. I have started on my varsity team for three years and so far have recieved an All League award and an MVP award.  I was selected by the referees to play in a Zebra classic and was on the all tournament team in the Christmas tournament.  I am a clutch player and tend to perform better in high stress environments.  One of my greatest strengths is my situational awareness on the court.  I am also very flexible.  I am most comfortable as a shooting guard but am also able to play the forward position as well as point guard.  I work hard to make basketball part of my daily routine.  Even off season I spend time each day shooting in the driveway.  I was a captian on JV and am currently a captain on my Varsity football team.
I am looking for an institution where I  can balance my work in the classroom and on the court. I would like to find a school where I can persue a degree in athletic training. I want  my athletic environment  to be one where I can make an immediate impact with the team. I would like to attend a  school where I can recieve high quality achedemics as well as playing an important role on the team.  Participating in athletics makes me a better student.
