Hello Coaches and Recruiters,
Thank you for taking the time to view my profile! Being a two-sport athlete, I have learned a lot of things through Golf and Baseball that have helped me on and off the course/field. A few things that I have learned are how to manage my time with practicing for both sports and also prioritizing my school work. I have also learned how to deal with adversity and know that when things don't go my way, just to work hard and grind through it because things will always get better. There is this rule of life called "The Rule of Thirds." The rule states where a third of the time you will feel great, another third of the time you will feel okay and the last third is where you will feel like garbage. Being an athlete, I can relate to this because there are numerous times where I feel like I can do anything. There are also times where I don't feel like that and when I am in that moment, I think to myself that things will always get better and push through. Sports and life go hand in hand because in every sport there are highs and lows just like in life.
I compete in golf tournaments during the Spring, Summer and Fall season here in Colorado. I take part in State, Regional and World tournaments. This Fall 2023 season, I received my second letter on Castle View High School Varsity golf team and received the Saber Cat MVP Award. I also beat the school record shooting a -5 under par in a High School League Match. I took First-Team All Conference taking first place overall in one of the most competitive divisions in the state. In our High School Regionals, I placed 2nd out of 44 participants shooting -2 under par. I qualified for 5A State Championships at Collindale Golf Course. I placed 8th out of 84 participants and took All State 1st Team. This Summer of the 2023 season, I qualified for the IMG World Championships 15-18 year old division and Optimist Doral World Championships. I placed top 4 in the Colorado Aurora Junior Championships and competed in the CGA Junior State Championships. I made the cut of 32 golfers out of 100 from a 2-day Stroke Play and made it to the Elite 8 in Match Play. Lastly, I placed first in the NB3 New Mexico Regional Championships. This qualified me to play in the Notah Begay III Jr. Golf National Championships on November 4th-6th at Koasati Pines in Kinder, Louisiana. I placed 6th in the Boys 14-15 division and 7th overall in the Boys 14-18 division. I shot 68-69-72 (-4 under par total). This tournament will be aired on the Golf Channel on December 12th. Last, I have held a 3.91 GPA and received an Academic Letter and placed on the Principal's Honor Roll.
