Personal Statement

Dear Coaches,

My goal is to be a valuable member of a winning college team.  I have only played competitive golf for three years, so I feel that my best golf is ahead of me.  I played both basketball and baseball at the travel sport level until the summer before from freshman year. It was then that I decided to stop playing these sports and to make golf my primary focus.  I enjoy both the physical and mental aspects of golf and I place a great deal of importance on being a good teammate and captain. I want to be someone my teammates have trust and confidence in.

I am also very competitive in the classroom where I carry a 3.47 GPA at Joliet Catholic Academy which is one of the most prestigious high schools in the Midwest. My focus in recruiting will be to find a college that allows me to merge my goal of studying accounting and being a successful college golfer. I appreciate you taking the time to read my profile and look forward to meeting and talking with you about playing for your team.
