Ethan Wempen '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coaches My name is Ethan Wempen. My collegiate goal in college is to play golf at the highest level. to achieve a good education and make a career out of it. After college, by going through the process and working hard, I would love to be on the PGA tour and make a career out of it. I have a very strong desire and a strong work ethic. I do the right things, go through the process, and practice to be the best player I can be. I have a strong work ethic and a great sense of humor. I hate to see another teammate down, so I pick them back up and help them to be the best that they can be. I have a will to learn so I can get better. and hold myself to a high standard. I started playing golf at the age of 3 with the Little Tikes golf set I got for my birthday, and my parents saw the potential at a young age, so I got a set of junior Taylor-made clubs. I went to golf camps twice a year in the summer when they were offered, and I would take advantage of that time to improve at a young age and then go practice after. I played in the junior events that were held on the golf course and won all the stars throughout the ages of 5 through 13 years of age. I also went out for soccer until the age of 12, and I made the decision at a young age to pursue golf. I struggled my freshman year and sophomore year in school. My parents transferred me to a smaller school with more staff and more learning opportunities. I started succeeding in school and started to love it. I study and try to improve every day in the classroom. I hope this gives you a sense of who I am and that you would consider me a recruit for your golf program.
