Golf has always been a huge passion of mine, and has been prevalent in my life since the age of five. Before high school, my favorite sport was snowboarding. After many injuries, I decided that snowboarding was not the best sport for me. This is when I started to take golf seriously and invested a substantial amount of time into the sport. The more I play, the more I love it.
Over my first three years of high school, I have become determined to improve, not only in my golf career but also scholastically. Education has always been important to me, but as I have found myself setting time aside for improving on the golf course, I have also found my class schedule to become more difficult and time-consuming. This is why it has been of great importance to learn organization and schedule planning. This has allowed me to create excess time to improve in the classroom, as well as on the course.
In summary, I intend for golf to remain one of the core center points of my life as I continue my athletic and scholastic career into college.

- AwardsLast summer, the summer of my sophomore year, I completed the Wake Forest Sports Business and Marketing Summer Immersion Program. I won the Most Valuable Player on my basketball team sophomore year. Also sophomore year, my team won the varsity golf conference championship, and I was personally selected to All Conference. My freshman year of varsity golf, the team won the Conference, and State Championships.
- ActivitiesModel U.N, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Multicultural Club, and Ambassadors. I also volunteer at the Catawba Science Center as a camp counselor each summer for three weeks. I have been volunteering there every summer since the seventh grade. I also volunteer for one week each year, at various organizations through Beyond the Classroom, which is a program through University Christian High School. I also worked during the summer of my sophomore year at Catawba Country Club as a golf cart attendant. My freshman year I worked during the summer at Mayfield Landscaping. My freshman year I also did a summer golf internship to learn about golf course management.
