Since I first picked up a lacrosse stick at age 7, I dreamed of playing lacrosse at the highest level possible. Since then, I have worked hard in the classroom and on the field to keep all opportunities available to me. When it comes to lacrosse, coaches have always told me that my biggest strength is my work effort, being "coachable", and my high lacrosse IQ. As a freshman on a varsity roster I quickly learned that the only way to gain respect is through your actions, your work, your positive attitude, and being a good teammate.
Lacrosse has taught me valuable life lessons, including the importance of hard work, perseverance, and resilience. I have always been willing to put in the extra hours of practice, whether it's working on my dodging technique or studying game footage to gain a strategic edge. My commitment to continuous improvement is not only a reflection of my dedication to the sport but also evidence to my personal growth.
From my early years in youth lacrosse to my current role as a team captain on my competitive travel team, I have always been drawn to the midfield position. My speed, endurance, vision, and versatility make me a dynamic player, capable of both offensive and defensive contributions. I enjoy the opportunity to make critical plays, whether it's a game-changing goal or a crucial defensive stop, and I thrive under pressure.
Academically, I always strive for excellence, maintaining a strong GPA and actively participating in extracurricular activities. I understand the demands of being a student-athlete and have obtained time management skills that allow me to be successful in both arenas.
In the future, I see myself contributing not only to the success of the lacrosse team but also to the campus community as a whole. My passion for lacrosse, combined with my determination to make a positive impact, makes me a strong candidate for any program. I am excited about the possibility of playing lacrosse at the next level and continuing my journey as a dedicated student-athlete.
