Personal Statement
I started playing lacrosse in the second grade. I have played every position, being tall and strong the long pole has become my true passion. My coach likes to line me up over the other teams top scorer, he is confident I can defend anyone. I sometimes play middie, being 6’5” has it’s advantages for looking over the defenders. My passing ability and off hand skills are pretty good.
Playing lacrosse most of my life on the East Coast, it was a true learning experience to see how differently the game is played in California. My lacrosse education really accelerated by playing under Coach Roberts at Canterbury. He played defense for 4 years under Coach Tierney when he was at Princeton. He showed me what a true scholar athlete should be and is a true inspiration to me.
We are a lacrosse family. My father played lacrosse his whole life, and coached me since I was young. My sister also plays and is a great defender, she started on her high school team as a freshman. By playing multiple sports, football, rowing, and basketball, I find the cross training makes me a better lacrosse player.
My goal is to continue playing lacrosse in college. I’m a good student both on the field and off. I’d love to help a team reach its next goal while at the same time pursuing mine.
