Personal Statement
It all started in the snowy, Colorado winter when I was in 4th grade. I heard of a local lacrosse camp that was starting soon, so with the help of a shovel, I went into my backyard and dug out a lacrosse stick that had been "left to die" in the winter cold. Ever since that day, lacrosse has been a passion of mine, and I have strived to improve my game over the past 7 years. In addition, I played football, and was on competitive club basketball and soccer teams, but wasn't having much fun. These sports did not give me that adrenaline rush and the indescribable feeling I get when I am on the lacrosse field. As my game has elevated greatly in the last 2 years, I have now thought how much I would love to play college lacrosse, because lacrosse is without a question my favorite thing to do in a day. Academically, my interests are pre-med, engineering, or something within the business/economic world. I believe I am a great candidate for any lacrosse team due to my work ethic, and constant drive to improve. My peers would likely describe me as a dynamic player, with consistency holding my position, and can turn the tides of a game due to my ability to disrupt the offense. I view myself as a fundamental player; my goal is not to be the most flashy but rather, play good positioning, attentiveness to the coach, and do my job to lock down the man that I am covering.
