Personal Statement
I have been fortunate throughout my athletic career to play for coaches who didn’t just teach me how to play the game, they instilled in me the intangibles necessary to excel at my sport and to be a leader both on and off the field. I recognized at a very early age that such qualities in an athlete can lead to one being a truly valuable asset to a team. As such, this work ethic I have embraced has earned me recognition from my coaches, respect from my teammates, and increased playing time on every team I have been fortunate to be a part of. I give my all during ever drill, every practice, and every game. Whether I am on the field, or on the sidelines, I am 100% a part of my team.
I was recently chosen to be a captain of this year's Varsity lacrosse team.
In addition to lacrosse, I also play varsity football. My roles include Safety, Wide Receiver and Punt Returner. Between seasons I work on strength and agility training with a fitness trainer.
Leadership is something that is very important to me. I have been fortunate to have played for coaches who have given me the opportunity to serve as Captain.
As much as I am confident in my abilities to score goals, I feel it is equally as important to be a facilitator of the offense and distribute the ball accordingly. As a midfielder, I work equally as hard on both sides of the field.
The work ethic I display on the field also translates to my effort in the classroom. I try to lead my life by effectively balancing character, academics and athletics.
Upon college graduation, I am determined to succeed in the business world. I feel the benefits of competing in a collegiate athletic program will add to my ability to do so.
