Personal Statement
"You got in my head Dude" . . .
This was the comment I received from the top-scoring player from the opposing team at a recent tournament championship game. I felt I had earned the compliment, because I had shut him out in a prior playoff game as well as the championship game.
Now it's in my head to shutout and get into the heads of every shooter from now through my college career.
I'm Sam Wasson, and if I had to sum up my life in one phrase or sentence, it would be "school, lacrosse, train, and sleep." Frankly, I wouldn't have it any other way.
I love being committed to lacrosse, and because my dream is to play collegiate lacrosse, it requires me to keep up my good grades. Currently I have a 3.7 GPA in all honors classes. As a sophomore, I was dual rostered on Varsity and JV. On Varsity, I competed with a Division III-bound goalie who is a senior.
I have a great work ethic. I consistently wake up early to CrossFit.CrossFit has greatly improved my agility, speed and reaction time.
Another fact about me is that you will never find a better communicator. As a dual sport goalie (lacrosse and ice hockey) I have honed in and refined my communication skills. On numerous occasions through multiple seasons, coaches from other teams told me that I am the best communicator they have ever seen or heard. One of my defensemen calls me "the general" because I am always barking out orders.
As for my collegiate academics, I am looking for a school with a Chemical Engineering department, a program in international business, or a program that I can become a Secondary Educator.
To sum things up, I am a competitor and I can't stand losing.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my site and I hope you will see that I am the goalie and the cornerstone on which you can build a team!
