My name is Malega Ruburura. I'm a student currently on concurrent enrollment at Phoenix College Preparatory Academy and Phoenix College in the class of 2024. Being enrolled under concurrent enrollment just means that I take both high school classes and college courses throughout my school years in high school. I grew up playing soccer from a very young age and improved every time I played. Unfortunately, my family does not have the fortune to pay for me to play for a club. However, I never stopped practicing and working on different aspects of my game. Moreover, I am proud to say that I have participated in my school's soccer teams, Boy's and COED. As a player, I contribute to teams by using my speed, technical ability, skills, and poacher's style of play to help us gain the advantage in the game and ultimately win. Over the last two and half years, I have been practicing using my weak-left-foot and over time, I have become more ambidextrous. I can dribble, pass/cross, and shoot with my weak foot, almost as good as I do with my right foot. Unlike most players, I can fit well in a team that plays more offensive or defensive. Moreover, I am a versatile player as I can play all forward positions and wide midfield positions either as a RM/LM or as a RWB/LWB. I have a strong mentality and never stop pushing myself until I hear the final whistle. Which has helped me see an immense increase in my fitness and stamina. Regarding academics, I'm a very focused student and always demand a lot from myself.
