Personal Statement
My name is Camilo Prado (2021 Graduating Class). I have been playing soccer since I could walk. My father would teach me to play against the house... the object of the game was to dribble with precision and pace while keeping the ball from hitting "the house". Having grown up as the son of a former collegiate and professional soccer player -- I've always been inspired to pursue the highest level of competition. I know that playing at a University level will allow me to pursue both my career and professional soccer aspirations.
I'm a strong fast player with broad vision of the field, precise ball handling skills using my both right and left foot, excellent passing ability and solid shooting dexterity. I’ve been described as a true “poly-functional player” with primary roles as R/L Wing and secondary roles as Striker and R/L fullback in a “Carrilero” role. I consider myself a team leader and like to lead by example --- this both off and on the field. I consistently strive towards my goals and you will find in me someone that is uniquely tenacious at heart.
In the classroom, I have maintained a 4.67 Weighted GPA within the Advanced Cambridge Program – this has allowed me to consistently earn the Honor Role Award and in 2017 SCHOLASTIC ATHLETE OF THE YEAR.
*** 2021 Inter Miami — USL 1 Invitational Tryout Extended and currently into third week ***
I would like to attend a University where I can play at the highest level and push myself both in the classroom and on the field. I’m confident you will find in me one of the best recruits of your career.
I look forward to the opportunity of meeting you and learning more about your program!
Sincerely,
Camilo A. Prado
