Calum Smith '16 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing soccer for as long as I can remember and have always had a love and passion for it. The past couple of years I have become interested in pursuing to play college soccer. I am a very dedicated athlete; I am never late to practices, I give all training and conditioning 100% effort, and I know that practice and improving my skills is an ongoing process.   In the off season, I get my foot on the ball as much as possible. I get along with everyone I play with and I consider myself a reliable and committed teammate. I am also very coachable; I will take any advice and use it in practices and games.
Of course, soccer is not the only reason I want to go to college. When it comes to the classroom, I am as dedicated as I am on the field or in the gym. Academics are important to me in many ways; they allow me to play soccer, they teach me to learn new things that I will use later in life, and they will help me find a career after college. As of right now, I am interested in pursuing a career in Exercise Science/Kinesiology/Applied Health Sciences.
In conclusion, I respect everyone and the game.  I respect teachers, coaches, teammates, opponents, classmates and even referees. And I will stop at nothing to be the best I can be. I am a very dedicated player, and I will work as much as possible to make sure my team is victorious.
