Personal Statement

Hi, my name is Eric Worwa,

I’ve been playing soccer since I was 4. I’ve played a short amount at park district and at 8 I started playing club/travel soccer. I am very serious when it comes to this sport. That’s what I think gives me an edge and advantage over others. Whenever we are losing or giving up, I’m always the one screaming and urging everyone to pick their heads up and play trying to motivate them, even though being the smallest and youngest really doesn’t help with that, but always being the kid that’s most physical, hustles for everything, and plays with the biggest heart. I don’t like being treated with respect for no reason. I like earning my respect and fighting for my play time because I believe every second I’m on the field I have a job to do for something I am representing. It gives me a sense of pride. My main goal is always to out-hustle the player next to me, whether it’s work rate, speed, or ball movement; to never be satisfied until I know I gave it my all. I’m not the type to give up easily if I want something, instead being very motivated and hard working, and one of the main things that keeps me going is my family. I have extreme love for the game and never gave up on it while it hasn’t given up on me either. My goal coming out of this is to get a great opportunity to represent a university that I know will push me to be my best.

Academically, I’ve pushed myself past my own limits. I made it way too hard for myself and put way too much on my own plate at once and started struggling. I got a kick in my butt and finally admitted that I needed help. I’m trying to burst out of that bubble and prove to everyone including myself that I can do it. I have Never been the smartest, but I would say I’m not stupid either.

Some things about me are that I love training and working out. If I didn’t ever get tired I could do it non stop.i love everything that has to do with physical activity and am not the type to sit around and do nothing all day because I would bore myself to death. I also have a few hobbies that including drawing, graphic designing, and taking pictures. If there’s no possible way to do any physical work then I always turn right to one of those hobbies. Due to this, I want to major in graphic design. I have been told I’m very good at it and I absolutely love doing it so it’s something I wish to pursue, but soccer comes first. That’s where my heart belongs and it’s almost more of a real home than even a second home.

Thank you for your time in reading this and wanting to find out more about me. If you’d like to contact or text me the best way is by phone.  You can call or text me at 773-727-4177.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
