People ask me why I play soccer considering my family's past in football and baseball, but there are many reasons why I love the beautiful game. Every day I get to be competitive, play with my friends, and push my body and mind to the best of its abilities. If I'm not at school focused on maintaining my A Honor Roll, I'm on the soccer field whether it's the season or not. My daily training involves sharpening my physical and mental capabilities so that I'm always a calm and intelligent player with athletic prowess.
I started in a recreational league when I was 6 years old. Around 11 years old my skills really developed and I began to focus all of my extra time and energy on improving my abilities. After my sophomore year in high school, I got the opportunity to play competitively in the Heartland League in Kansas City. My club took second place in the Springfield Tournament and third in our division. Through 12 games I scored 16 goals and had 9 assists. On my high school team, I have been playing at the varsity level for two years now, this past season was monumental for me and the entire program.
I am looking forward to studying sports medicine while playing soccer with a competitive and welcoming team that I can create long-lasting relationships in.
