"Soccer is a beautiful game." I've been playing soccer since I was 3 years old. I am deeply passionate about this sport and want to continue to play for as long as I am able to. On the field, I've learned team work, how to overcome adversity, and make quick decisions under pressure. In my downtime, I'm watching matches and film - studying to become a better player and getting as many touches on the ball as possible. I'm the player who is organizing informal practices, studying the opponents, letting my teammates know how to breakdown other players, and giving extra encouragement to the younger players. Playing at high levels with a hectic schedule has taught me how to balance my academics and athletics. Skills I've learned on the field have translated to the classroom. I've been able to travel domestically and internationally because of this beautiful game. Things I've learned from my travels I've been able to connect to the classroom and vice versa. This beautiful game will always be a part of my life. It's given me so much already and I look forward to being able to continue growing from it on and off the field.
