Luis Canas Jr. '24 Recruiting Profile

I pride myself on being the first one to practice and the last one to leave. I have played soccer for 13 years and I have and always will be the most competitive player on the pitch. I love soccer and my future goal is to become a professional athlete along with getting a degree in Business. My preferred position is the 9 (Striker). I am a goal scorer and can take shots with both feet. My first instinct will be to take shots and create opportunities toward goal. One of my best attributes is my ability to lay the ball and make quick passes in and around the goal. I can score off crosses and read the flight well. I also understand the importance of defense and ball recovery and I understand how to press. Not to mention I can make friends easily and building chemistry with my teammates is always a focus for me. I am confident in my skills, and I am coachable. I understand I can continue to learn, and I try my absolute best to improve at all levels of my game. I am a leader in my team and try to lead by example to make my team better. My play style is a pure striker. However, I can adapt to any system that is needed. Additionally, I maintain excellent grades (4.1 GPA) and have taken college classes where I have excelled. I strive to be the best and continue to work hard to achieve my goals.
