Personal Statement
I started my journey in soccer at age six, and the game was much different then. I was always extremely fast and my coach would have a player launch the ball down the field and I would beat the other players to ball and score the goal. Over the many years I have adopted new strategies to score goals and win. I believe I have most improved in reading the field and seeing the plays develop quickly. Seeing the plays develop and quickly making decisions is where I work the hardest. I am less interested in scoring the goal and more focused on creating every opportunity for the goal - at my or my teammate's foot. I had always played forward for most of my club soccer play. My high school coach placed me in the forward position, but also at winger or attacking midfield position. This positon change has definitely allowed me to grow and strengthen my decision making skills.
My goal is to play college soccer at the highest level while attending a great school. Like many students, I really don't know what exact profession I want explore. I do know that I have a great interest in business, and I have a love of sports. I also know I want to play soccer and immediately make 20-30 great friends, have the support of great coaches, and a great college experience. I am excited about all of the opportunities in front of me. I know I have the ability to be a leader on your field, be a coachable player, and also exceed your academic standards. Thank you for your time and consideration.
