Omar Reyes '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Omar Reyes, I am currently at Trinidad State College here in Trinidad Colorado where I have played as a center back for the past 2 seasons. I played Varsity Soccer for 4 years in Pebble Hills High School , and I was the captain for the last 2 years. During these seasons, I played defensive center midfielder and center back. I'm looking for the opportunity to continue my learning career in a challenging school where academics and athletics embrace my talents. I plan to follow the path in International Business. I've dedicated all my life to soccer, and I am highly committed to the sport. In my soccer aptitudes, I can honestly say that I’m coach-able and can adapt to situations and positions quickly. One of the things that differentiate me from other players is my ability to read the game in all positions.  I am very strict in having structure in the soccer field, that includes having my defenders and my midfielders organized and communicating throughout the game. Key aspects of my game include great air confidence and a strong left power shot. As a soccer player, I truly believe in the importance of ball possession, change in rhythm, and a strong mentality. I am very precise at short and long passes. I know what to do with the ball in small spaces, and I quickly understand how to play under pressure. I pride myself in becoming a better player by giving 100% during every practice. As a captain, I always try to set the example to younger players by my actions and efforts. As a soccer player my first priority is always to be a team player and compete to be in the starting 11. As a senior in High School I understand that athletics goes hand on hand with academics. As a student I have created a good relationship with my teachers throughout my learning experience. I consider myself to be a very dedicated, self-motivated, hardworking, and exemplar student. I believe time management and quality in my assignments are critical of my work ethic. It is my dream to always compete at the highest level and the next step for me would be to play at the collegiate level. With my talent and academic skills, I believe I can be a great asset to not only your athletic program, but also your school.
