My name is Osmel Padilla. I am a center defensive midfielder for Pebble Hills High School and have been on the varsity team for 3 years. A season ending injury during preseason didn’t allow me to play my freshman year. I have been fortunate enough to heavily contribute to accomplish my schools soccer programs objectives. Those being: qualifying to state playoffs for the first time in school history my Sophomore year, and winning a bi-district championship my junior year, being the most successful year so far as I was nominated to be 1st Team All-District. I am looking for a reputable school with a top soccer program for me to progress both on the field and academically.
My collegiate aspiration is to lead the team and meet the soccer programs objectives. My current and previous coaches describe me as hard working, confident, passionate, and a leader on the field. I am an open minded individual who can take and give constructive criticism with out affecting the teams unity. It is because of all these aspects that i can make a difference on the team.
However, my aspirations don’t stop on the field. In the classroom I have maintained high academic rigor and maintained my GPA. My academic aspirations are to excel in my classes at all times so that I can be a good example for my teammates, and always be available for my team. I hope to complete my undergraduate studies in engineering to hopefully have a career as a mechanical engineer one day.
Thank you, I hope to find a program that suits me.
