My name is Elliot Bordini and I am a Junior center-back at Notre Dame Academy in Green Bay, Wisconsin. I come from a family of athletes and have been playing soccer for as long as I remember. I grew up playing with my cousins and we were often really competitive. My mom is a life coach and a my dad is a therapist. They both have helped shape me into a confident leader and build resilience on and off the field. I am now a captain on varsity and was able to be a part of two state championships. I love the game and don't know where I would be today without it. Soccer has taught me to be competitive, work hard to achieve my goals, and be a leader. When I was younger I was really slow, big, and not very skilled. I had to go through many obstacles because of that, and it helped shape me into the player I am today. I had to work very hard to get to the place I am now and I continue to do so. I have great determination and won't stop until I achieve my goals. As a captain this year, my goals are to create a family on the field. I want to bring everyone together to build one unified team. We are going to work hard in the off-season and build camaraderie. I have realized that I am a natural leader and enjoy the challenge of making a positive impact on my teammates so we can come together. I come from a family of high level athletes and I have witnessed and experienced how sports contribute to success in life. My hope is that I can continue to play at a high level so I can continue to grow and start my path in my next phase of life with collegiate soccer as a foundation.
