Personal Statement

My goals include earning a degree in Aero‐Space Engineering, competitively swimming in college, and connecting with the community through service activity.

Crown Point High School has provided me a great environment to reach my academic and athletic goals. My volunteer work at Methodist Hospital  in Gary Indiana opened my eyes to a community much different than my own. Many people who live in Gary are unable to pay for healthcare or other services.

I was introduced to swimming at a young age and I want to make that available to the kids in Gary, regardless of their ability to pay. Therefore, I've created an organization that uses donations to offer swim lesson scholarships to children in need.  I plan to give the first donation to the Gary YMCA in the Fall of 2018.
