Personal Statement
My name is Curran Wearmouth, I'm a 6 foot tall lefty and graduate in June 2011. I'm the 2010 Alberta provincial U18 doubles champion, my highest Canadian national rank has been 28th and I want to play college tennis. My current USTA road trip win loss record is 20-4.
I'm looking to major in science or business and I have a 3.3 GPA. I would like to find a college with a strong tennis interest, great coaches and good facilities. I have received several honours including Junior Tennis Program Sportsmanship Award, Gold Medal City Science Fair, Academic Honours, and Tennis Canada Instructor with Honours. I have successfully represented my high school in Badminton, Cross-country and Track.
I'm born and raised in Calgary Alberta, the middle child of five. I started playing tennis at the age of seven and have competed nationally since U12s. Since moving on from my club junior program, I have been organizing my own training including fitness, technical skills, and match play. I desperately look forward to training and working in a team environment. It is my goal to train and compete successfully at the college level and continue on to a successful career.
I would greatly like the opportunity to meet you and your team. Please take the time to view my video. I can be reached at cell 403-650-0302 or email [email protected]. Your feedback is appreciated. Thank you for your time.
