Hi, I am John Stefan. I am a student-athlete at Barrington High School. I started throwing shot-put and discus my Freshman year of high school. I have achieved High Honor Roll and gifted program recommendations in my career as a student, and also continue to enroll in the highest level honors and AP classes available. I am looking for a university offering a great education, and a place that will allow me to continue to excel in my athletic and academic endeavors. I can offer coach-ability, passion, and effort to any program. Although I would consider myself more shot-put oriented, I am definitely a two event athlete with the discus, and also familiar with the hammer and weight throw, although I do not compete in these events. I have competed at the national level, and earned a 2nd place finish at the 2015 Junior Olympic National Championships for Boys 15-16 Shotput. I look to not just make a collegiate team, but also look to excel at the collegiate level, and be a useful point-scoring tool for any Track and Field program.
